Lizzy Ford is going to the 2012 Phoenix Comicon this May

I came home from work the other day and Lizzy greeted me with a "I did something today" as I walked through the door. Fear rushed through my mind as I scanned the house for new puppies and or other objects.

When she told me she had signed up for a table at the Phoenix Comicon I first thought "Cool", then "I didn't know Phoenix had a Comicon" and ended on "You know you don't write comics right?"

She assured me that there would be plenty of fantasy authors there as well so it seemed like a good fit.

If you're going to be anywhere near Phoenix this memorial day weekend (May 24th through May 27th) then be sure to stop on by. I'm not sure what goodies we will have on hand but I'm sure we will have something.

To anybody who has been to a Comicon before (Phoenix, San Diego or otherwise) what should we expect? Any tips??

We will have plenty of books there and we'll make sure to get some full color items (maybe postcards) for Lizzy to sign but I'd love to here some other ideas. I'm sure we will also have a poster or standee with a QR code visitors can scan for a free ebook or two as well.

I was thinking about buying a cool, older star wars toy (the vintage ones, not the recent ones) and using that as a giveaway for anyone who did something small there, but I'm not sure what that small thing could be. The first thing that pops into my minds is a mailing list signup but I'd rather not have the list clogged with people who don't read the type of books Lizzy writes. Maybe I'll look into some type of QR code that does the Facebook like or twitter follow.

Seriously though people, if you have some good ideas,I'd love to hear them!
